We are accepting nominations till Sept 15 for the awards in the following four categories.
1: Martin Luther King community service award.( By community we mean every one, community at large.) 2: Unbiased media reporter of an institute. ( TV, radio, news paper) 3: A just public official for everyone and not for selected groups. (We already have four nominees for this category.) 4: An organization which has done improvident work to defend the rights of Muslim, Arab and South Asians.
* Panel discussion:
1: Election 2004, protection of civil rights in the light of human rights. Bush or Kerry, will there be a difference? 2: Mandatory Draft – Youth from diverse backgrounds will share their opinion (1)why we need it (2) who will be affected by it and how do we feel about it? 3: Women’s rights and role in Islam (Muslim scholars) Are Muslim women oppressed?
