AMV Director Northern California to speak
at the Veterans Memorial Day program
Mr. Khalid Saeed, AMV Director Northern California will be speaking at the Veterans Memorial Day Program on May 31, 2004 in Woodland, California.
Mr. Larry P.Schapiro of American Legion invited Mr. Khalid Saeed to speak on Memorial Day May 31, 2004 at the veterans memorial.
Mr. Schapiro of American Legion said that it is going to be a historic event as this is the first time American Legion has invited a Muslim to address this important annual event. Woodland is county seat and a historic city about 20 miles from Sacramento, the Capital of state of California.
Accepting the invitation Mr. Khalid Saeed said that it is an honor to be invited to speak at such an event. AMV is requesting fellow Muslims of Woodland and surrounding areas to attend the program for support and to demonstrate that we (the Muslims) are part of the landscape.
Where: Woodland cemetery is located on the corner of West Street and Cross Street.
When: May 31, 2004
Time: Program will start exactly at 11:00 till 12:00 noon.
Former Congressman Pete Mcclosky, a veteran of Vietnam war, will also speak at the event.
