“Light the Night for Peace & Friendship”

In loving memory of 9/11 victims

September 4th, 2009

Washington DC.

The American Muslim Voice Foundation along with Multifaith groups and community organizations will host a memorial in loving memory of 9/11 victims.

Imagine millions of small flames guiding our paths toward a culture of peace, acceptance, mutual respect and harmony throughout our neighborhoods, cities, states and nations. Our quest for peace and friendship begins now on a day that created a culture of despair, division and violence among all of us.  We will replace it with the culture of hope, inclusion and peace by working side by side. Together we can create a world we would be proud to leave behind for our future generations!

The American Muslim Voice Foundation is seeking global partnerships for its “Miracle Movement of Peace and Friendship." We strongly believe that in order to build peace, we must shatter all barriers, get to know each other and form friendships.  We can build stronger and harmonious communities and safe and secure nations. We are encouraging all Americans and global communities to start getting to know each other by nurturing old friendships and sowing the seeds of new ones, so we can build a peaceful, inclusive and beloved world. We salute ”September 11 Families for Peaceful Tomorrows” for their dedication and commitment to work towards creating peace. We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to them.

Please join hands with us as we walk on the path Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. paved for us.  Become full partners in “The Miracle Movement of Peace and friendship.” We will foster friendships among all Americans and the world by bridging the cultural and religious gap.

To become a part of this movement please click "Light the Night for Peace and friendship"  www.amuslimvoice.org

On Sept 11th, open your home or places of worship to old friends and future friends. Share your vision of peace and one step you are willing to take to achieve that goal. How can we help one another to forgive, heal old wounds and sow the seeds of peace and friendship. Hold a candle light vigil after sunset, honor 9/11 victims and their families. The vigils may be held in your front yard, Neighborhood Parks or places of worship or just light a candle, put it on your window  and pray for the victims, their families and for peace in our world.

Please send photos and report to saminasundas@gmailcom. Let us start spreading good will and good news for a change.

We work with all Muslim, multi-faith, community organizations/groups and individuals that share our vision of a peaceful, harmonious and inclusive world. The Miracle Movement of Peace and Friendship is but a part of AMV Foundation’s mission. We are striving to foster friendships among all Americans by bridging the cultural and religious gap. We are a grassroots, nonviolent and inclusive organization dedicated to preserving and protecting civil liberties and constitutional rights for all. We believe that working alongside neighbors and strangers towards a shared goal - strengthening the fibers of our world and eradicating cultural fault lines - forges bonds and often sparks friendships.
