Press Release August 17, 2006
3rd Annual Peace Convention Ordinary People, Extraordinary Heroes
Bay Area, CA: American Muslim Voice (AMV) celebrates resilience and believes in non-violent solutions to achieve global peace. AMV strives to create a culture of peace, acceptance, mutual respect and harmony. It is in this spirit that we are delighted to introduce three people who turned their pain into something that heals and creates peace, rather than continuing the pointless cycle of violence.
They are ordinary people whose choices make them extraordinary heroes. They are working towards building peace in loving memories of their children. While the world is focusing on today's political climate of blame, anger, division and hate, we would like you to join us to honor these extraordinary heroes.
